Bertold is a German and lives in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. He holds a doctorate in law and a degree in psychology. He first worked as a psychotherapist, then specialized in NLP and worked as a management trainer for 15 years.
In 1994, he joined the constellation work and devoted himself exclusively to it for the next 10 years. During this time, he also participated in a training in trauma therapy (Somatic Experiencing). Afterwards he combined constellation and trauma work and held seminars in many countries, also in South Africa. In the past 12 years China has been a focus of his travels.
He is the author of 30 books on the topics of communication, self-management, and constellation work, of which there are translations into ten languages to date. In 2016 he started to offer internet courses for personal growth, also teaching constellation work.
