Bill is a Gestalt, Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice in Connecticut, USA. He is a former faculty member at Southern Connecticut State University where he served as a Clinical Supervisor in the Marriage & Family Program and taught a course in Family of Origin.
His therapeutic and Constellations career was initiated in a therapy session in a tumultuous time in his personal life, as is often the case for many of us. Bill originally trained as an actor in college and at The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. Needing to put food on the table for his children he worked in restaurants and finally gave up acting to become a chef. When the opportunity came to open a restaurant in London he jumped. His first marriage however was ending, and he found his “world turning upside down”. So, he wisely sought therapy. His therapist suggested he would make a good therapist. So, when his divorce came through, Bill enrolled in the Master’s Degree Program in Marriage and Family Therapy. The program included Gestalt Therapy Training. There, he met his second wife, Maggy and they’ve been together ever since–over 30 years.
A facilitator and trainer of Constellations, Bill has conducted workshops in Connecticut, New York, California, Canada, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Romania, Brazil, China, and Mexico. He has introduced the work in schools for both adolescents and teachers and explores Constellations as a method of supervision. He is a Father to six children. Four from his first marriage and two with his beloved Maggy. When he’s not working you may find him dancing to Motown or the Rolling Stones whilst cooking. And especially relishing opportunities to embarrass his children!
